The club provides young people and youths the opportunity to engage in the sport of boxing in a fun and safe environment.  Many of the young people who have passed through St Matthews Boxing Club will testify that it enabled them to better integrate into society and gave them a greater level of confidence to create a better future for themselves.

St Matthews is not just about producing champion boxers, one of our mottos is to “Make Champions of Individuals”. With this is mind we endeavor to deliver the same high level of confidence building and training to the most novice of boxers who are always made feel part of the St. Mathew’s boxing team.

On the 14th of April 2012 at St Matthews Boxing Club Ballyfermot "Saturday Night Fight Night" one of the fights on the card was the match between Noel Sommers V's Karl Kinga Welterweight Senior Contest. This fight was a big credit to the two boxers and for their trainers too.

St Matthew’s Boxing Club
St Matthew’s boxing club is one of the most successful clubs in Ireland. It has the full support of the local community and strives to continue to be one of the best boxing clubs in Dublin and Ireland for many years to come.

Like most boxing clubs in Ireland we need a constant supply of money coming in, to enable us to continue our work with all our young boxers. No money that's received goes on wages as everyone associated with the club are here as volunteers. So, without funding, donations or your support our club could never run.
